84KB11's history starts with an unusual entry in it's records. After arriving at Hilton supply depot in Febuary 1984, 84KB11 was sent to RACAL-SES for modification and fitting of specialist radio equipment, it was then posted at an unspecified date to the Royal Netherlands Embassy. No regiment or purpose is listed. Its postings from here were more conventional: 27/02/1985 640 Sig TP (EW) 04/11/1994 237 Sig Sqn 14 Sig Regt 23/10/1997 14 Sig Regt (EW) In August 2001, 84KB11 was sent to MVSL for disposal. It was purchased by a dealer whose yard it remained in until I purchased it in 2005. |
